3 layer Film plant with Liquid PIB dosing system

KET recently embarked on an important demo on stretch cling film. The specialty of this demo was liquid PIB used in the recipe (Polyisobutylene) which characterises the stickiness of the film. This property of the film helps it cling to the product to be wrapped. Liquid PIB acts as an effective recipe component vis-à-vis PIB master batch and facilitates optimum output and cling film quality. This demo used different combinations of LLDPE. The LFW was laid at 1000 mm and thickness of the film was decided to be 20 micron. This sophisticated three layer plant ran at an output of 135 kg/hr which was formidable considering the tackiness of the raw material recipe. The film elongation ranges from 600 % in TD (Transverse Direction) and 320 % in MD (Machine Direction)
