| Date:4/10/2007 |
KET offers Innovative 3 Layer Stretch Cling Film plant with PIB injection system Kabra Extrusiontechnik Ltd. (KET) India’s leading manufacturer of plastic extrusion machinery has recently introduced an innovative 3 layer blown film plant which uses liquid PIB (Polyisobutylene) in the recipe, in place of costlier PIB masterbatch. This plant is used for the manufacturing of Stretch cling film. PIB gives stickiness to the cling film helping it to effectively cling to the product to be wrapped. The liquid PIB used in the outer layer is injected in to one of the extruder barrels using a sophisticated European PIB dosing system. The plant is capable of producing films with max. LFW of 1350 mm and film thickness of 20 to 200 microns can give a maximum output of 200 kg/hr. in LDPE. Producing film with enhanced optical and mechanical properties, the plant features state-of the art oscillating haul- off for optimum gauge randomisation. An efficient 2 Station semi automatic Duplex Surface winder (wound roll capacity of 900 mm dia/ 400 kg) is equipped with web aligner and trim handling system. Processor Benefits: Liquid PIB costs lesser than PIB masterbatch and also is required in less quantity. This results in lower product cost. The benefit of different levels of tackiness can also be obtained by changing the feed rate. Most importantly the quality of cling film produced using liquid PIB is superior. This latest offering from KET will definitely benefit the processors who invest in it.
